RAPT Brew in both App Stores - Finally!
RAPT Brew v1.0.4 is now live on both the App Store and Google Play. Here's what's in it, what's next, and how to get it on your device.

Now available in both Play and App Stores
So, that was a bit more exciting than we anticipated! Whilst the Android version of the RAPT Brew App hit the Play Store on time, we did have a few issues with App Store approval. As a result, the App Store version was stuck in limbo for quite a bit longer than expected. However, it has finally been approved! We have also just released a point release in both stores, RAPT Brew 1.0.4. This fixes a few lingering issues, so we strongly encourage you to update right away if this isn't automatic on your device.
This release brings full functionality to the RAPT Brew App, and is, finally, ready to download and install to your mobile device whether you are Apple or Android!
Please use the links below to install it if you haven't done so already.
If the above makes no sense, we now have a brand new, all native iOS and Android app for the RAPT system, now called RAPT Brew (as it will run concurrently with the old system for a few months). We have heard and responded to your feedback, and this is what you wanted: a fast, responsive, easy to use app that is simple to navigate and super snappy in action.
It took us longer than expected, and longer than promised, but RAPT Brew v1.0.4 is in both stores and ready to roll. We are sorry for the delay, but hope you agree with us that it was worth it!
All functionality from the old app is up and running, and massively improved in most cases. Our core focus has been on the user experience: you asked for speed and responsiveness, so this was very much our primary focus.
One caveat: Recipes has been removed temporarily. In the old app it is usable but still somewhat limited. We have elected to rebuild it from the ground up, so it has been removed from the new app for the time being.
Still to come
Work is continuing! We will be updating the app at regular intervals, and expect updates every couple of weeks at this stage. We will keep focusing on the user experience: speed, responsiveness and ease of use.
But wait, there's more! The full release of the new RAPT Brew App is just the first phase. A pretty important phase, to be fair, as we heard loud and clear that a better, faster, easier interface was your number one priority.
We are also migrating to an all new architecture. This is again a ground up rebuild which will allow us to offer tighter integration for all RAPT products, but more importantly our focus will be on your most requested updates:
- Easier registration
- Simple setup
- Fast and reliable network connection and stability
- Remote Pill access (for calibration etc)
The transition will be seamless. Firmware updates for all RAPT devices will be rolled out over the next few months which will migrate each device to the new architecture. We will also release a web version of RAPT Brew for those who prefer to use a desktop or laptop to access RAPT.
We still want your feedback!
Now more than ever, feedback from our user base is as important as ever. Spotted a bug? Have a suggestion? Don't like the colours? Please submit any and all feedback to feedback-app@rapt.io.

Currently, all RAPT product documentation lives at the docs.rapt.io portal, and it can be accessed directly from the in-app Help button. This documentation covers all RAPT products, and is kept as up to date as possible.
It's the best place to find setup guides with step by step instructions, and helpful tips for brewing, fermenting and profiles. There are also comprehensive troubleshooting sections for every device to get you out of a jam.
We also have a helpful and active RAPT Facebook community, so jump on board! We welcome your feedback.
